Dug pit at 1860 elevation with NW aspect at open tree line below an area protected by trees, not in top of an exposed ridge on a 25-degree slope. Performed a compression and extended compression test. CTM, resistant planer down 85 cm under a crust ECTP 24, down 85 cm under a crust; snowpack becomes moist down 115 cm
