It is currently a delicate balance to find slopes steep enough that the skiing is enjoyable yet supported enough by slope structure and vegetation that it is safe to ski. Crowfoot glades has some of this terrain.
Slab avalanche originating in non skiable terrain of the crowfoot headwall. This turned almost completely into spindrift by the bottom of the cliff
Ski pen dropped from 60cm BTL to 30 cm at TL where the wind was a more dominant feature. We did two pits at TL on North aspects. The first at 5 degree slope gave CT4 at 14cm(PC) in new snow and more importantly CT9 down 60cm(RP) on facets. Expected to see SH here but may have been blown flat. The second pit done by a friend which I did not observe gave a CT 8 at 30cm which may? have been the 60cm layer in an area with different snow distribution. This second pit was done at 15 degrees.
