Partly cloudy and fairly calm until noon. Snowfall started around 2pm (S1-S2) and westerly winds increased (moderate - strong). Moderate to intense snow transport at higher elevations around "the gap" between Med Bow Peak and Browns Peak. Observed widespread surface hoar crust layer in the morning, 1-2cm thick (picture attached). Experienced minor cracking in wind drifted areas. Average snow depth 180cm.
