Quick Observation

ALP skied wonderfully. No concerns about snow stability. Wind loaded pockets generally un reactive. Distinct change in snow moisture below 1600m which made ski quality awful. Could definitely feel the solar radiation through the clouds after 13:00.

Weather

Wind was generally fresh southerly, but local wind direction changed rapidly. Northerly, westerly, and southerly winds were all noted throughout the day. HST noted above is an estimate based on AlpineFX data combined with (apparent) storm snow RG1 near surface.

Snowpack

Appx 10 cm 4F storm snow overlaid 55 cm wind transported and pressed 1F. FC2 below. CTH22(BRK) ⬇️ 65 on FC. Oddly weak temperature gradient when considering the observed FC.
