Avalanche Information
Attempted Burgess South today with the inversion and ran away halfway up the line after a size 1.5-2 ran behind us from higher extreme terrain, obliterating our bootpack. Definitely watch the inversion and daytime heating if heading to a big, steep south facing line. The cold overnight in Field was not enough to lock it in. Maybe 3-4 small, minor heat-based releases were occuring as we ascended and proceeded this one, and kept our heads up. This bigger one was the obvious sign to get the hell out of there.
