Quick Observation
Ski tour around the Spearhead Gl and around to Phalanx North side and exiting via Poop Chutes. Surface conditions skiing very well for the most part around the Spearhead Gl with very consistent silky snow and limited wind effect. Some areas of katabatic wind effect over in Phalanx N side with grabby thin punchy layer overlying soft snow. SH found on most aspects in alpine up to size 5mm with some as big as 10mm at TL. Solar aspects turning moist with warm temp inversion in alpine. There will be a prominent crust on these aspects today. Surface temps stayed cool all day on shady aspects. No signs of recent slab avalanches except for one recent size 2 windslab that had pulled out of a steep lee slope on the N side of Phalanx that looked 72h old. Ski cuts only producing sluffing in steep alpine terrain.
