Chappell Creek

Nice surprise with 15-30cm of unconsolidated storm snow. Day was beautiful with a mix of sun and cloud, temps hovering around -8 in the alpine. Jan18 layer (surface hoar and or facets) visible and reactive to hand testing below treeline, treeline and sheltered alpine. See avy report for the only sign of instability seen today.

Observed from a far distance. Looked to have stepped down below recent storm snow. Ran almost full track.
