Quick Observation
Tried to hit some north facing objectives off of little Cleveland and found 5 cm thick wind crust/isolated sastrugi on top of unconsolidated fluffy pow was releasing easily on shovel/hand shear. Did not appear to be propogating. Noticed another layer at ~40cms that would release on shovel shear but seemed resistant. Didn’t investigate this deeper layer any further. Dialed back our objective for the day based on uncertainty in the snowpack. Was able to stomp on some smaller convexities with no result.
