Quick Observation

175cm HS 20cm HST Storm snow collapsed CTE4 no other reaction. The warm weather seems to have bonded the snowpack well but there is a 5cm rain crust under the storm snow that probably will be a problem moving forward with more snow on top.

Weather

Lots of new snow with moderate to strong gusts cross loading slopes above treelike. It was very wind affected above tree line so we stayed below.

Snowpack

The warm weather in the passed week has seemed to round the snow pack well, no sign of the surface hoar from December that’s been a problem. There is a new 5cm rain crust under the storm snow that could turn out to be dangerous as more snow piles up over the course of this week.
