We dug a pit at the treeline. Findings were very consistent with forecast for the day. Thin, but very dense wind slab for top 5 cm (pencil). Under that, 1 finger for 60 cm, becoming more cohesive as we went down.
The picture is of a sudden planar activation CTH 30 at 60 cm. Very smooth plane. No clearly visible hoar or facets at that level. These were hard hits. Beneath that there was still highly cohesive slab (1 finger down to 1 m, and then pencil below that).
We saw no natural or human triggered activity. We stayed at the treeline and below on low angle (= to 30 deg) due to high consequence, despite low likelihood of that line fracturing.
