Quick Observation
The joke was on us today.. We were hopeful that north facing terrain was still holding dry snow after a couple sunny days. We were wrong. We encountered breakable crust on all aspects until we got on lower angle terrain below 1600 m where the crust was supportive to skis. No avalanche concerns where we skied today. Twisting a knee in the breakable crust was the main hazard. The good news..It's snowing in town! Pro tip: Low angle, open, smooth terrain makes for the best skiing when conditions are dust on crust ;)
