Took several laps of Mongolia, and beyond, with many other groups in the area both yesterday and today.
Great skiing. Experienced some sluffing in steep terrain, running on the underlying melt-freeze crust, and intermittent wind effect on/near ridgelines. However neither the storm snow or the wind affected snow showed signs of cohesion, propagation, shooting cracks, etc., when breaking trail up to ~1900m.
No signs of recent avalanche activity, although visibility was limited at upper elevations throughout both days. No sun while we were out. Winds generally light, with some gusts at ridgeline (1900m) notable by 2pm.
Overall our observations were consistent with the recent AvCan summaries/forecasts.
