181210 facets/surface hoar down 25cm. Layer is 10cm thick at this elevation and presents as small (1mm) facets with preserved surface hoar of varying sizes up to 10mm. Previous rain crust is below bridging the midpack. Several column tests with each one failing after cutting the column (very easy, sudden planar fractures). Shooting cracks were present during slope tests with skis. We avoided terrain 35deg+
