Quick report

Multiple avalanches were discovered at or above 30 degree slopes on BOTH sides of the Smith Fork FRS 10072 trail, with propagation going as far as 100m. Small to medium sized trees were snapped and carried down to bottom of runouts. The avalanches had occurred between 1 and 4pm.

Weather was overcast with wind gusts of up to 43 mph from the SW. Raining at lower elevations (6000ft to 7000ft), which turned to grapple at mid elevations, with light snowfall at higher elevations later in the day.
