Quick report

Collapsing
specific

Had one collapse in a lower meadow that was air entrapment. One my second lap up my set skinner in a slightly steeper spot had a pretty solid collapse and whompf. Didn’t see any cracks or extreme propagation of the collapse. I didn’t see or experience any other instabilities in the areas i skied (W, SW, S). Roller balls and point wet releases on steep S facing. Dug a pit near the top of my line at 10k, W facing, sheltered area. HS 220, storm snow ~40-50cm. Sitting on two distinct MF crusts. And then waaaay down at 70cm up from ground is a solid rain crust. Was surprised to see the set up. Was expecting more junk between the MF crust and rain crust. It was all 1F thickness.

Avalanche

Lots of natural activity off of the east ridge of Red Top. Big cornice drop but didn’t propagate out
