Travelled majority of the zone. Heavy solar radiation observed. Top 10-15cm of snow moist. Deeper is dry and faceted. Test profile @ 2400m NE aspect showed repeated sudden collapse 25cm down on surface hoar facets. Extended column test showed fracture but no propagation. Surprisingly minimal natural activity, more notable sluffing when returning to parking lot.
