Garibaldi Lake

Spent New Years up at Garibaldi Lake. Parked near the highway and had to skin to the trailhead. Followed the summer route all the way, we decided against crossing the smaller lakes, despite the recent temperatures. The large bridge that crosses a creek next to one of the smaller lakes (Lesser Garibaldi?) is gone. Either washed out by rain, or an slide. Due to the recent snowfall, and hearing plenty of whumpfing on the lake flats, we kept the skiing pretty conservative. Skied some mellow, open trees on the way to Mt Price/Clinker. Skiing out the Rubble Creek route we uncovered a few rock/dirt patches, but coverage is pretty decent. Passed a few groups of snowshoers on our way out with zero avalanche gear. Standard.
