Very warm day. +5 and up from base to where we dug our pit just above treeline. Lots of snowballing & tree bombs seen, especially above treeline. Snowpack was 170cm deep, and the test was done on a 31 degree East facing slope at ~1720m. ECT had a slight fracture but didn't separate about 80cm down on the last hit of the test. Rutschblock score 5 had a slab peel off ~30cm down. Overall, the layers are bonded really nicely but with rain on the way and more warm temps the skiing quality is quickly degrading.
