Spearhead Gl

Most alpine aspects were very wind affected. N & W were scoured with firm wind press and exposed melt/freeze crust in places. S & E aspects held a mix of variable windslab ranging from 1-5cm thick along with a few wind loaded pockets. Snow quality was very variable around various terrain features due to the wind affect. We dug a quick pit on E aspect above Spearhead Gl, 2370m elev. on a 25 degree slope. Hs = 265cm, STM RP @ 240cm on the facets above the Dec 15th layer. CT15 RP @ 245cm & CT27 RP @ 215cm.
