We rode up to Boulder to check on the new snow today and had awesome riding conditions in 35 cm of low density new snow. We didn't see much new snow cracking until the end of the day when we observed several small storm slab releases on steep cutbanks below treeline on our exit ride. These ran on a thin crust. We dug a quick test pit at treeline and had moderate, resistant results both at the new snow interface and a surface hoar layer about 10 cm deeper. We managed the conditions by sticking to smaller, low angled, low consequence slopes.
