Interesting day at Observation sub peak glades. Snow line at ~2000m by 8am. <5cm new snow variably distributed by wind, leaving some aspects stripped to last week's sun crust, and others nicely sifted for enjoyable skiing. After a break in the weather from ~9am-noon, significant snowfall resumed for the duration of the day. Observed several avalanches on the slopes above, all from previous days. Most notably was a deep crown ~2/3 down one of the chutes which appeared to have toe trigged a downhill slope as it passed by. Observed some whumpfs from the top crust while skinning; did not appear to propagate deeper, or far. Stuck to low angle terrain throughout the day.
