Needle

We headed up Needle in search of dry snow up high, we found a re freeze crust in the morning through the trees, some large cornices in the alpine. Snow has been affected by temperature and sun up to 2000m. Stability was good, noticed a few cornice failures on surrounding peaks. The snow was very wet on the way back through the trees and made for a challenging endto the day.
