We skied to the top of treeline on Disease Ridge. The wind was blowing snow off all peaks and exposed ridges on Blackcomb. There was signifcant wind affected snow on all visible aspects (S - NW). At around 2000m, on a SW micro terrain feature, another group had a whumpf and a shooting crack which propogated 50m or so. See photo. The wind slab on this feature was pretty deep, 30cm or more. Hopefully the group that triggered this will also post a MIN with more details! We decided to dig a pit close by feature and had CTE (SP) results 15cm down - wind slab resting on 25cm of Fist hardness snow.
