MAST AST 2 Ridge Hike

A MAST AST 2 course toured up ridge 2000 from Island Lake parking lot. We dug a pit at 1500m performing an ECT test with no results. Wind affected snow present on E facing slopes near tree-line and above. We stuck to NE slopes with good powder turns through the bowl. Cornices were huge at the top of fish bowl. We did not observe any avalanche activity, although debris from a size 1 seemed pretty fresh at the bottom of fish bowl.
