north shore / Howe Sound

Skied in the alpine around the Brunswick / Hanover area Sat. Widespread cornice fall & natural cycle evident from warming last week - especially on S-W slopes. Some to size 2. Snowpack seems pretty saturated - with light storm snow now ontop. Crust is not too severe below 1400 which made for dust on crust turns. Above 1500 the steeps are frozen solid with no boot pen possible and a few cm of loose wet powder over the top. Was snowing down below treeline by 3pm.
