Berg Lake

Skied below Tricouni including the Berg Lake Couloir. Above treeline, the snow is very wind affected. Evidence of a widespread avalanche cycle (presumably in the last snowfall) and then random and variable windslab on almost all aspects except direct sheltered south. Slabs were 4-20cm thick with some cracking and lots of drum sounds. Skiing was generally marginal, to bad, until below treeline. Dropped the cornice into Berg Lake Couloir with no result but still found considerable wind slab lower in the couloir. Rode the bed surface back the lake.
