Walking up some clearcuts, there was whumpfing with pretty much every other step, so we wanted to look for the weak layer causing all this noise. The failing layer 78 down is clearly visible on the photo: an about 4cm think soft (1F) layer with a bit of SH on top. However results on it were hard (CTH 24) and non-planar. There was a second harder curst 107 down. But most reactive proved to be the new storm snow about 45 down. It was too soft for a CT result (no tilt board test executed).
