Dug a quick pit at the base of the steep section on the way to the Titanic. South facing slope, Hs 135 cm. 10 cm quality light powder on top. Down to 40 cm, well consolidated snow. Soft zones of facets at 40 cm and 65 cm. 10 cm thick crust zone from 65 down to 75 cm, then totally structureless depth hoar to ground. Nothing too reactive in compression tests, but the whumphing we felt was the top 75 cm settling on the depth hoar. We decided not to trust the short steep slope that you cross to get to the Titanic, since the noon sun was beating on the slope and there was overhead hazard.
