Went out to Powder Cowboy today. Snow was dry on north aspects but had been previously hit by the wind. Anything that the sun touched had a melt freeze crust on top. It was starting to soften on steep sections when we left, but not enough for fun riding yet. We saw a few natural wet loose avalanches from yesterday that had started in steep, rocky SW spots and gathered snow as they went. Up to size 2. No slab avalanches seen. The riding quality wasn't great but we didn't see any signs of instability.
