Quick Observation

Not much to report from Saturday. Was optimistic there would be a good window before the storm, but the front moved inland pretty early with isolated flurries and sustained winds at ridge top from 11am on. There were some isolated pockets of intense solar warming towards the northern end of the corridor, which might lead one to believe the new snow load will fall on warm surfaces and potentially bond well, but I wouldn't count on it. For the most part, the alpine is a mixture of hard surfaces, windblown facets and a skiff of new snow from overnight.
