Spearhead Area

Skiied Cham 1, Spearhead Glacier, and Husume. Mostly cloudy all day with intermittent flurries throughout the day. Common theme for all observed S facing slopes was a barely edgable hard crust layer with a dusting of fresh snow atop. N facing slopes were much better with plenty of fresh turns to be had (~20cm atop the same crust). Wind slabs may be forming on N aspects. Some (maybe 1-2 day) old Sz1-2 wet slides off of steep alpine slopes near skiers left of Cham and Husume.
