Today we checked out conditions in the Telkwa Range. There were numerous older avalanches(48-72 hours) up to size 2, all running on the facets over the early December rain crust. We found one newer size 2 avalanche that we suspect was triggered by a snowmobile over the weekend. We are reaching the tipping point where the persistent weak layer of facets over the early December rain crust could begin producing larger avalanches more readily.
