Quick Observation

At 14:00 a moist layer of surface graupel/PP was observed up to 2000m topping a ski-supportive crust on W aspects above 1800m; the crust was above 20cm+ of lower density dry snow. Below 1700m the crust gave way to variable thicknesses of moist layers with loose wet activity observed in the afternoon (SZ 1 natural and skiier triggered). Intact cornices were observed at ridgetop, no natural cornice fall activity observed. The skin track out was soft and surfy below 1600m. I rated the skiing as "good" in this MIN because I love me some spring turns, individual perceptions of these conditions may differ.

Weather

Broken to scattered cloud cover through the day, light winds, warming temps and rising FL
