Went up to the top of the Big Kahuna today, snow was variable, with pockets of more wind affected snow, and pockets of deeper powder, but the snow was mostly soft and skiing was quite good all in all. Towards the top of the chute, there was 2-4cms of wind affected snow that was slabbing off as we boot packed. On the way down a couple smaller pockets of this layer slid, but didn't have much energy and seemed isolated towards the middle-top of the run. High southerly winds at the top, windows of clearer weather coming and going throughout the day.
