Quick report
Signs of recent instability confined to wet loose avalanches on both southerly and northerly aspects. Despite the recent clear skies, dry snow was found in protected, middle- and upper-elevation northerly aspects. I saw no signs of recent larger instability, and the top meter of the snowpack remains fairly consolidated. That being said, I expect new snowfall to move easily on the old snow surfaces, particularly those that are crusted. I will also give this zone a wide berth as soon as temperatures start climbing next week. I expect some wet avalanches to run long distances and into the creek drainage here as soon as water starts flowing through the snowpack.
