Thar Peak

It was -27C at the car with wind, but at the summit it felt like -15C and no wind. Ski quality in the protected trees was amazing but in the alpine the snow was very wind affected and skiing wasn’t as enjoyable. No signs of old avalanches or any instability.

The weather was very different from the car to the peak. Cold and windy at the car and warmer with no wind at the summit. As we skied back to the car we noticed as we transitioned from alpine to treeline the temperature dropped and wind picked up again.
