Snowpack Conditions

Skiid NW/N aspects to the west of Darkside Lake in steep creek. Numerous size 1-1.5 loose wet avalanches observed on steep solar slopes. Two weak layers were observed in the upper snowpack. Taken at 2050m at 1435 on 2018-02-10, NW aspect and 21 deg incline. CTM 12 (SP) down 20 on FC (x2) CTM 12 (SP) down 26 on FC (x2) CTM 20 (RP) down 35 (x1) A strong temperature gradient exists in the upper 50cm. Avoided convexities and cross loaded slopes, minimized exposure under overhead cornices.
