8:20am at trailhead (950m): 3C, overcast, no precip, calm, HS 5-10cm 9:45am at Red Heather meadows (1375m): -2C, overcast, no precip, HS 70-80cm Thin crust over dense, heavy snow. Practiced companion rescue instead of seeking out turns. Light precip (S-1) and light SE wind started shortly before descending at 11:30. Road conditions: snow started about half way between lower lot and hairpin turn. Snow and slush at hairpin. Significant snow in upper parking lot.
