This week we are on the Northwest Coast working out of Stewart. Today, near Bear Pass, it was snowing lightly with light winds. We found a trace of new snow over a breakable melt-freeze crust at lower elevations and on sunny slopes. Below this, there is 70cm or so of unconsolidated snow, which overlies the March melt-freeze crust. We found no significant results in a snow pit.
