Salmon lake

On the trail into salmon lake alot of the steep sections right off the trail were sliding from the recent storm. Only the storm snow was sliding

We dug a test pit at 1900M on a north west aspect. * 22 degree slope * -4 C * Snow total 310CM * Column suddenly collapsed once shovel was set on top at 11cm & 25cm no tapping needed. * CTE3 sudden collapse 34cm * CTM4 sudden collapse 60cm * CTM8 sudden collapse 100cm on surface hoar layer 3mm crystals
