Quick Observation

- We rode the SW aspect - The day was really cloudy (overcast). - Temperature: AM -5 / PM -1 - Wind (SW aspect): No wind in the morning and no sign of blowing snow at any elevation. In PM, there was moderate wind at below treeline and treeline. Strong wind in the alpine and intense blowing snow. Loading of wind-drifted snow in the gullies and lee slope on top of wind slap and wind-affected snow. - The below treeline has powder. Around 30cm of ski penetration. At treeline, we experienced hard wind crust snow on top of 30cm of soft snow (100cm to 120cm HS). Wind slab in the alpine (5 to 10cm thick), especially in the gullies or convex features. Ridges are icy and have not a lot of snow (40cm to 50cm).
