Mt Fee ridge was amazing today, but... The forest leading into the alpine was super icy and to be safe , ski crampons were required. Horrible skiing on your way down as well- if you even can ski in that kind of conditions. Things got much better after that with about 10-20cm of nice dry powder on top of a very thick rain crust that was very supportive. We didn't dig a pit, but this ice crust was around 10cm thick and will probably give up later in the season when another meter of snow will sit on top of it. Underneath the crust there was some consolidated snow that hopefully will stay quiet. Anything over 1800m was just amazing quality!
