Halcyon glades

The snow that has fallen over the past few days is still not enough to cover the crust from last weeks rain in a meaningful way. Conditions remain challenging at lower elevations, with open water, and breakable curst. The higher up we went the better it got. We did come across some very small windloaded pockets, that weren't quite big enough to cause an avalanche but we still checked all the obvious places for wind loading, behind steep breaks in terrain and areas were the surface had a different texture.
