Quick Observation
Went for a walk, it’s not good. Crust at 1600m is 6-15 cm thick, with a complex of ice layers. In open wind affected areas it’s hard enough for 0 foot or ski pen, and even in sheltered areas penetration through the crust is 10 cm max. Upper snowpack is extremely dense/consolidated, with the upper 1m 1F-P in many places. Surface hoar up to 6 mm is widely observed as well. Gonna be a fantastic foundation for the next reload…. Hint hint …..
