Well, today on the West side of the Lizard Range was fun! Sledding and skiing conditions were good in somewhat dense powder ….. Not much for pictures, ‘cos it was like this: (see our 1 picture :-), so …. no avalanche-observations to report (but no visibility), but we had no “signs of instability” touring up or skiing down, and no results in snowpack tests in the one test pit we dug at 1900 m on a south aspect. We measured the HS (full depth of snow) at 210 cm at that location. At our high point on a ridge at 2000 m, we had light winds from the South, (with no snow transport), and a temperature of -2 in the early afternoon.
