Very loud skiing on all aspects and elevations.
Thick, rain induced melt freeze crust from valley bottom all the way to 2,000 m. The snowpack was fully saturated down 1.5 m Sunday morning with a 15 cm refreeze.
Massive cracks appeared on several cornices overnight Saturday night (Cabin Bowl). It’s impressive how far back they are from the overhanging section of the cornice. Most slopes below ripped in the storm, but these things might come tumbling down soon! Yikes!
