Cirque Peak was busy !?

Cirque Peak was a popular objective today given the amazing wx ! Started off from Num-Ti-Jah at -28’C at 9am. Counted something like 14 folks that came in from both Dolomite and Num-Ti-Jah that went down the N couloir onto the glacier. Social distancing was a challenge ! ? Alpine was quite wind affected everywhere. Rap into the couloir definitely is more than 30m - party before us were generous and we used their two 60’s - think there was less than 10m left when we put the skis back on - so there is less snow in there then when we did this two years ago in April. Of note, a generous soul installed an intermediate rap station on skiers left hand side on the way down so you can pull your rope and set up for another rap if need be. Got a few good turns in the chute but it was crusty even on the N glacier ... no huge signs of instability today although we did notice some naturals on our way back down (see pic). Amazing views today - but the snow kind’a sucked the fun out of it. Probed over 3m on the glacier - BTL snow was actually surprisingly good ! 0’C by the time we got back to the car around 4pm. Big thanks again to the kind folks who let us use their rope!
