Healy Pass and Center peak

Camped out at Healy creek and did some exploring sticking to mellow terrain around the Pass and Center peak.
Strong wind on Thursday significantly degraded ski quality in alpine and treeline. Widespread wind effect with 5-50cm ski penetration depending on whether upper slab is supportive, or whether skis break through to wallow in the facets below. Solar aspects developing a breakable sun crust, and temperature crust forming at valley bottom even in shaded areas. Snowpack generally upside down with a 4F-P cohesive slab on top of a faceted midpack.
We dug a test pit in an open meadow at 2275m NE of Center peak. Found HS 110cm, with the top 32cm being 4F+ resistance slab on top of fist resistance 2mm facets below. Tests produced ECTP2 and CTE3 SP failures down 32cm on the facets. We also observed numerous settlements/whumps while travelling through the alpine and treeline. Upper snowpack becoming moist.
We observed multiple avalanches out of steep alpine East facing leeward or crossloaded slopes, looked to be failing on the Jan 30 layer with some propagating up to 150m. Suspect most slid during the extreme winds on Thursday.
Needless to say, it's spicy out there and we chose terrain carefully to stick to lower angled terrain and avoid overhead hazard. We found ok turns skiing in sheltered treeline areas or Northerly aspects where the wind had not completely ruined the snow. Ski quality still variable and hooky though.
