curtis, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Winds have really smashed the treeline and alpine elevations. NE winds from 170103 "ish" have reverse loaded the southern aspects and may catch some users from surprise. There is some crazy wind affect out there. The Dec 16th interface looks to have been the culprit of 5 rider trigger avalanches within the last 4 days. All activity has bee on northerly aspects with convex start zone above 35degrees. This is similar in characteristics to the recent incident we had here in valemount. Please folks...remember that moderate bulletin ratings still mean that there are likely issues out there that deserve your respect and understanding and if you venture into mountain terrain, you should have training that allows you to make educated decisions.
