Trash chutes wind effected.

jamesdrakebc, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Rare sign of slides down the more open chutes down from trash ridge. Everything seen was 0.5 size small windslabs releasing with crowns around 10 cm by distant eye estimate. debris field small, had to filter photo to make it visible. the real shock here is trash chutes are a north facing rocky face that I've rarely seen any slides let alone wind slabs. Shows that even last 24 hour storm snow has settled different and been wind affected. On slopes longer and less supported that wind slab could step down to other weak layers. And something to watch as it warms.
